HOW DOES IT KNOW!?

Quite coincidental, for every question that I asked which had a definitive answer, the 8-ball's answer was either "ask later" et al. or correct! It took me 30 (or so) tries to make it wrong. Or maybe that's not a coincidence, and it really does know.............

The question that finally stumped the magical random number generator was:

Is the statement "this statement is false" true?

To which, of course, both yes and no are wrong.

Good actionscript

This was good actionscripting. He aimed well, the guys blew apart in the right direction, etc.

On the other hand, it wasn't a very good game. I got to 100 kills and then got bored. It was too easy; too repetitive. The only clever thing that you needed to realize to kick the game's ass is to shoot your last bullet at a guy who's near you. A good game needs to be a little deeper than that.

I have no doubt that you're capable of making a really good game somewhat similar to this one.

Could be better

I think in the lessons, you need to make the note sound when you click on it, not when the key lights up.

Great Game

Not entirely original. Very simple in principle to "Atomix" (known by many other names as well), but it's modified enough that I can call it unique.

I spent forever on level 14, did 15 quickly, and then got bored. I tried 16 once but I didn't care anymore.

The sounds were well placed. The music was really repetitive and irritating, but you allowed me to turn it off. Great job!

Obligated

I can't in my right mind give this game a low score. It's animated very well, has a lot of content, has a lot of original music (though the tracks could be longer... a 10 second loop isn't enough to make my appreciation).

But, you could have done better. You borrowed some ideas from Final Fantasy, but it would be good to study their games more. At the very beginning, watch what they do: they give you something very specific to do. Follow these guys and help them kill monsters, most of the time. Now, where they go from there is often brilliant, and draws you in to the rest of the game, and you can't really be expected to do that. But give the player a more specific goal, so they don't get bored at the very beginning like I did.

Also, as has been pointed out, space should be used to progress through the conversation as well. You have a mostly keyboard-oriented game, and to switch to the mouse for conversations is very distracting.

But you've got me all excited about how to make a really solid role-playing game. And there's something to be said for that.

Good work.

Neat Game

It's always nice to see people coming up with original game ideas.

I think this is a very interesting game. But I agree with a number of other reviewers: remove limited lives! That stage in the history of games have passed, especially for puzzle games.

And then you can afford to make the puzzles a bit harder (not that they're not already hard enough!)

Pretty good

I liked this. Being a pedophile myself, I think it's important to point out this particular area of hypocricy. And to show me lots of young girls :-)

Extremely good game

This is one of the best puzzle games I've come across. It's not necessarily best in the puzzle aspect, but the game part of it was done well. I liked the alternating between hard and easy levels, incrementally introducing new concepts, and clean graphics. Very nice job.

Great Idea

Give it some nice graphics, some sound, multiple levels, a title screen, and all that other boring stuff and you'd have a very entertaining puzzle game. But, in leu of these deficiences, I have to give you a low score. Put some more work on it. Definitely: I want to play this when it's a better game.
